Kicking off the weekend of the Table Talk Foundation Sussex Showcase will take place at Restaurant Interlude with guest chef Luke Selby and Resident Chef Jean Delport.

Price – £225pp (including a glass of Ridgeview, other drinks sold separately). Room packages are available.

Luke Selby, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Two Michelin Stars **

Luke returned to the kitchens of Le Manoir aux Quat’Sainsons in June 2023 for the first time since starting his highly successful career at Le Manoir in 2009, taking the position of Executive Head Chef. Following on from the success at his own Michelin ranked restaurant, Evelyn’s Table, Luke returns to work with his mentor to bring a new modernity into the cuisine.

Born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Luke’s love of cooking grew from his early experiences walking through markets, as well as foraging and hunting in the South Downs near his childhood home in West Sussex.

Luke is the only chef to have won all 3 of the Young National Chef of the Year, Roux Scholarship and National Chef of the Year awards.

Jean Delport, Interlude, One Michelin Star *

Hailing from Cape Town, Jean is the second South African to earn a Michelin star. He seamlessly weaves his heritage and culinary memories into the tapestry of Interlude’s unique dining experience and nature-inspired cuisine.

Jean’s journey is a blend of culinary training in the Cape Winelands and Ireland, culminating in his dream of creating Restaurant Interlude. His unique culinary style fuses British and French techniques with his South African heritage, emphasizing local and foraged ingredients. This approach crafts a menu that leads diners through the enchanting woodland gardens of Leonardslee.

Beyond the kitchen, Jean is a keen forager, outdoor enthusiast, and sports lover. His dynamic spirit infuses our team with energy and creativity. Jean is more than an Executive Chef; he’s the driving force and visionary of Restaurant Interlude. He’s constantly seeking ways to enhance your dining experience.
