Nick Beardshaw, Kerridge’s Bar & Grill

Nick started his hospitality career sweeping floors and pot washing in his local village pub. After travelling he returned to work at the Michelin-starred restaurant The Castle in Taunton under Richard Guest and after two years was promoted to Chef de Partie.

Nick then joined Daniel Clifford at the two starred Midsummer House for one year before settling at The Hand & Flowers where he was promoted to Senior Sous Chef after just six months. Nick then opened The Coach, Tom Kerridge’s sister pub in Marlow, which won a Michelin star in October 2017 with Nick as the Head Chef. Seeking new challenges Nick opened Kerridge’s Bar & Grill at Corinthia London in 2018 which opened to rave reviews including ‘This place is boss’ from Giles Coran.

Nick’s first TV appearance came in 2021 on Great British Menu where he made it to the judge’s chamber enjoying two 9/10’s from judges Angela Hartnett and Richard Corrigan who gave his ‘Comet C’ dessert which paid tribute to Cornish scientist Caroline Herschel a 10/10.

Nick describes his cooking as robust, no-frills cooking using only the very best ingredients he can find.

Steven Edwards, Etch

Steven is best known for winning the 6th series of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2013 becoming one of the youngest ever winners of the competition at the age of 26.

Before MasterChef, Steven trained with some of the country’s leading chefs including Raymond Blanc, Andrew McNaughton and Chris Wheeler before joining the team at South Lodge Hotel in Horsham with Matt Gillan.

Etch was voted 58th best restaurant in the UK in 2022’s National Restaurant Awards.
